Seeing You Again

By Kelly Elizabeth Miller

I haven't seen you in a long time, the years
have passed and you have been on my
mind. But, when I saw you the other day
in the store, I started remembering the
times before.

Oh, I remember the times we had,
some of them good and some of them sad.
And we promised that through thick or thin
we'd always be friends.

Well, I asked you how you have been
and you said "nothing new, how about you?"
And I looked at you and a tear came
to my eyes and I almost started to cry.

It felt so good to see you again,
but now I really must go my friend.
It's going to hurt me, to let you go,
but I want you to know that in
my memories, you will never leave me.
