Develop guidelines for cataloging materials which have been digitized locally, taking into account the "Registry of Digital Masters Record Creation Guidelines" and "Preservation & Digitization Actions: Terminology for MARC 21 Field 583". If necessary, recommend changes to local policies for cataloging these materials.

Members of the Intellectural Access Committee, Preservation and Reformatting Section of the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services of the American Library Association reviewed draft versions.

Summary of ALA Midwinter 2007 Meetings Regarding the Registry of Digital Masters
There is an ALA interest group - PARS Intellectual Access to Preservation Interest Group - which is also discussing these issues. Co-chairs are Tyra Grant and Atalanta Grant-Suttie. Information on the PARS Intellectual Access to Preservation Interest Group is available on ALA's website
A CONSER task force is also being formed to discuss these issues. This is
